DICP Symposium(XXI) on Molecular Beams

The symposium was held from 4th to 5th of June at the Dalian Xinghai Holiday Inn. Chairman of the symposium was Prof. YANG Xueming, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Molecular Dynamics of DICP. The theme of the symposium was on the application of and the newest progress in the molecular beam technique for the study of chemical kinetics and relevant researches.

About 40 scholars and experts engaging in the research of chemical kinetics via molecular beams from abroad, Mainland China and Taiwan attended the symposium. 16 scientists working in the area of molecular beam reaction kinetics from the United States, Italy, Germany, Japan and Taiwan were invited to deliver plenary lectures.

A poster session was arranged specially for graduate students from abroad and China to carry out exchange of their investigations. The contents of the oral presentations and posters covered hot topics of gas phase molecular reaction kinetics, application of liquid helium drops to chemistry studies, photochemical processes of bio-macromolecules, chemistry of clusters, and surface chemical kinetics.

After the symposium, all participants were invited to visit the State Key Laboratory of Molecular Dynamics of DICP.
