Sinopec is expected to transmit a combined 744,000mt of gasoil and gasoline to Southwest China's Guangxi, Guizhou and Yunnan via its Southwest Oil Product Pipeline in January, up 1.1% from the previous month, revealed a source with pipeline department of the oil giant.

Gasoil allocation was 603,000mt, up 5.23% on month, while gasoline down 13.5% to 141,000mt, according to the source.

Sinopec kept the transmission volume basically unchanged at a relatively high level due to stable oil product supply and demand in Southwest China, the source explained.

Sinopec Southwest Oil Product Pipeline kicked off construction on Sep 19, 2003 and came onto stream by the end of 2005. It starts from Maoming of Guangdong province and ends in Kunming of Yuan province, passing through 37 cities and towns within Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou and Yunnan. Stretching out 1,691km in its full length and linking up 19 stations, it is the largest-scaled and longest oil products pipeline in the country by far.
