YANTAI, Nov.26, 2004 After one-year effort, Yantai was authorized to use the characteristic postage pictures of Yantai.
The two pictures are: Yantai seashore scene and Xufu 's sculpture. They will be printed on the envelope used by the Party and governemnt offices at all level, public organizations and enterprises.
There are very great differences between characteristic envelope and ordinary envelop. The characteristic envelope has printed the postage pattern in advance, which not only saves the miscellaneous formalities but also shows the image of Yantai.
Postage picture of Yantai seashore scene takes Yantai hill, seashore and buildings around as the main body, blue sky, white cloud, sea, sandy beach as backgroud and intersperses with hovering sea-gulls. It's the first time that Yantai urban scenery appears on the national name card---Chinese stampe.
