Jinan Urban Afforestation and Spring Protection Meeting was held on 10th March. Wang Liang, vice mayor, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. It is reported that one million and 18.9 m2 green space will be developed in Jinan in 2011.
There are eight main tasks of the Urban Afforestation, including the construction of municipal garden, district-level garden, and community garden, and the construction and renovation of the road, the watercourse, and railways, etc.
Furthermore, the renovation of the Baihuazhou, the navigable engineering of the Daming Lake Xiao Qing He, the expansion of the Zhongshan Park and Jinan Flowers Park, the promotion of the Qianfo scenic spot, the construction of the Wetland Park and Xiao Qing He ecological development, and the La Shan River-ribbon Park.
Jinan not only strives to protect the frost and the spring, but also strives to promote the application for preservation and be worthy of the City of Springs.
