According to the information released by Tourism Administration of Sichuan Province on August 9, 2010 Sichuan International Culture Tourism Festival will kick off at Shuimo Town, Wenchuan County, Aba Prefecture on Sep. 3.
Around the theme to improve people s livelihood by developing forerunner industries and to rebuild beautiful homes scientifically , a series of activities, including field trips and international forum about post-quake tourism and renovation, will be held during 2010 Sichuan International Culture Tourism Festival .
It fully demonstrates and promotes the experience and achievements Sichuan has gained in post-quake renovation. Also, the introduction of post-quake-renovation tourist routes substantially shows the vanguard and dominant role of tourist industry in reconstruction. At the same time, Sichuan will display its new tourism image, carry forward regional tourist cooperation and set up a platform for international and domestic tourist cooperation and trade through this festival.
2010 Sichuan International Culture Tourism Festival mainly takes place in the hardest-hit areas in Wenchuan earthquake. Among them Chengdu and Aba are main venues. Besides, some other activities will be organized for such themes as a tour to Mianyang to survey post-quake reconstruction , the village of New Year Painting , Achievement Exhibition of post-quake tourism and hiking on Sichuan s difficult trail in Mianyang, Deyang, Yaan and Guangyuan.
