The Dragon Boat Race is an old custom of the Chinese nation, which is well preserved in the Chaoshan area that has numerous rivers and ponds everywhere. On June 16, despite of the heavy rain, spectacular Dragon Boat races were held in many places in Shantou, shaping a festive atmosphere for the people.
