A driver in Shenzhen who was suspected of being heavily intoxicated was burnt to death inside his car parked at the roadside.
The car was parked on Buxin Road near Kingway Brewery Holdings Ltd. in Luohu District when it suddenly caught fire at 9 p.m. Saturday. When firefighters arrived 15 minutes later, they found a man in his 30s inside the car, said a witness surnamed Zhang, who owns a bicycle maintenance shop nearby.
Firefighters said there was a man sitting in the driver s seat. His eyes were closed and he didn t respond, they said.
The man was pronounced dead after the fire was put out.
Another witness said many drivers took a rest in the vicinity every day because there was a beer street near the brewery.
Police are investigating.
