A rescue team of 20 firefighters from Dongguan arrived at Yushu in the northwest Qinghai Province yesterday morning, 25 hours after a 7.1-magnitude earthquake hit the prefecture.
Most of the team members have served as rescuers in the Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan Province two year ago, thus having vast experience for searching survivors. Along them are the most advanced life detectors and other quake-relief equipments of Dongguan fire brigade.
