Mr. Jiang Ling, a Vice Mayor of Dongguan, urged Japanese corporations to invest more in Dongguan, the vibrant manufacturing hub in South China noted for its electronics information industry during a visit in Tokyo, Japan, Japanese Times reports.

"Since (Dongguan) has become an important manufacturing city in China and Japanese corporations are investing a lot in the city, I do hope you will have your interests in Dongguan from now on," Jiang Ling told a news conference Monday in Tokyo.

Electronics manufacturers TDK, Kyocera and Pioneer are some of the Japanese companies that have opened factories in Dongguan.

The Guangdong Province hosted a two-day investment seminar for interested firms Monday and Tuesday at a hotel in Shinjuku Ward.
