Zhangmutou Township of Dongguan City plans to build a Chinese Generals Museum with a collection based on more than 10,000 officers who struggled or sacrificed their lives for the People's Republic of China. The foundation ceremony will be held in August of 2011.
There have been 3 divisions with 69 generals stationed in Zhangmutou alone and currently there are still 5 surviving veterans there. These generals took part in the National Liberation War and the War of Resisting U.S. Aggression & Aiding Korea.
