Deputy Secretary Li Huansheng Met With Chairman of International Exchange Centre of the Sea of Japan

On Oct 14th, 2010, Deputy Secretary Li Huansheng met with the visiting Chairman Koga Katsumi and his delegation from International Exchange Centre of the Sea of Japan.
Deputy Secretary Li welcomed Mr. Koga warmly . She reviewed the history of exchanges between the Centre and CUC and praised Mr. Koga s contribution for this communication. Deputy Secretary Li said that in July the CUC delegation had visited International Exchange Centre of the Sea of Japan this year. Both sides signed cooperation agreements while two Japanese teachers from CUC also finished successfully the research in the Centre. The first step of cooperation of both sides had been smooth and fruitful, and she hoped that the cooperation could be smoother in the future. Mr. Koga expressed thanks to Deputy Secretary Li s meeting. He indicated that he would support the bilateral cooperation as always, and would gradually expand the cooperation scope and deepen friendly relations in the future.

After the meeting, Mr. Koga certificated two teachers of CUC, Huang Meihua and Duan Ran, who accomplished their research and studies in the Centre.
Professor Zhao Yuming, President Assistant Liu Liqun, Retirees Administrative Office Chief Liu Penglou and Deputy Dean Shu Xiaomei of School of Foreign Studies attended the meeting.
On the morning of Oct 15th, Mr. Koga gave a lecture named Japan Enterprise Culture to the students of Japanese Studies.

In June, 2009, Mr. Koga had visited CUC. Both sides reached consensus in the Japanese teachers training project cooperation. After that, with joint efforts, CUC sent the first group of Japanese teachers to do research and studies in July, 2010, and had signed the cooperative agreement on the basis of the cooperative project, which guarentees a long-term bilateral future exchange. The other purpose for Mr. Koga s this coming to Beijing is to accept a Sino-Japan friendship award awarded by the Chinese government.
