Wannate and Wanalink products from Yantai Wanhua Polyurethanes Co., Ltd(Yantai Wanhua) are to be used in the construction of Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway in China.
Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway is by far the largest investment in china's rail way history and it is China"s first high-speed railway using world-leading technology. The railway is 1318 kilometers long, starting at Beijing South Station and ending at Shanghai Hongqiao Station. The designed speed of the railway will be 350 kilometers per hour with a total investment of 220.94 billion Yuan. The railway is scheduled to start operation in 2010.
Different with conventional railways, high-speed railway uses ballast-free tracks, which requires that the Waterproof layer should not only be waterproofing and anti-cracking, but also be able to withstand the impact of high speed, overload and alternating shock load from high-speed trains. Polyurea is highly resistant to wear, impact, cracking, UV and high/low temperatures, making it an ideal material for high-speed railways.
In additional, operation of Polyurea spray in site is easy and efficient, not affected by ambient temperature and humidity. Polyurea coating can be quickly formed without sagging at any surface.
Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway is currently the worlds largest polyurea waterproofing project with a total demand of 20,000 tons spray polyurea, 10 times of the Beijing-Tianjin High-speed Railway.
Polyurea coatings made from Yantai Wanhua's Wannate MDI-50, Wannate 8312 and Wanalink 6200 give even better physical properties like tear strength and elongation. Several contractors using Yantai Wanhua"s products have won bids of Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway waterproof layers of the concrete deck of bridgeworks project.
