Worldwide First AP1000 NPP Pressurizer Lower Head Has Been Manufactured in CFHI Rather Successfully

China has realized the Batch Production of the Forging of AP1000 NPP Nuclear Island Primary System

In the morning of Mar. 12th, following with earsplitting firecrackers, the shipment ceremony was formally held for the global first AP1000 NPP - Sanmen #1 Pressurizer lower head researched and manufactured by CFHI in Fularji, located near to the northern border of China, which is considered as the worldwide first-class casting and forging works.

Upon satisfactory completion of this work, CFHI has comprehensively owned the capability of manufacturing all the forgings within the primary system of AP1000 3rd Generation NPP nuclear island. It also symbolizes our China has fully executed his own independent and batch production on the forging of primary system of AP1000 3rd Generation NPP nuclear island.

CFHI has achieved another important breakthrough on nuclear power component localization since such successful research and manufacturing of tubesheet forging of AP1000 Steam Generator as well as the forging of AP1000 RPV.

On research and manufacturing of 2nd plus NPP, CFHI has grasped the manufacturing technology of RPV, coolant pump casing and other critical parts for nuclear island. CFHI has fully made the localized manufacture of all the forgings of SG into truth, and 1000MW RPV has been researched and manufactured which contains the intellectual property fully owned by CFHI, for Hongyanhe #1 and Fuqing #1 RPV.

CFHI has satisfactorily executed the batch production of the forgings of CPR1000 nuclear island. 300MW RPV researched and manufactured by CFHI has acquired the 2nd Prize of National Science and Technology Progress. On the research and manufacturing of the AP1000 3rd Generation NPP forging with the global state-of-the-art and the upmost difficulties, CFHI has tackled the constraints to our China NPP development and successfully researched and manufactured the integrated closure head and the integrated nozzle shell of RPV, ellipsoidal head, core barrel, channel head, tubesheet for SG and other nuclear island purpose forgings.

The satisfactory research and manufacturing of the pressurizer lower head will greatly improve the overall level and technical competence, saving of purchasing cost sourced from the State into nuclear power component, and further expand the localized manufacture field on AP1000 NPP.
