Professor Pan Zuhe visits the USA and Attends the 2010 Yunnan Provincial Education Itinerant Display and Sino-American Education Forum

In late October 2010, a delegation of higher education professionals paid a visit to the United States and hosted the 2010 Yunnan Provincial Education Itinerant Display and Sino-American Education Forum in four cities: Washington D.C., New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Professor Pan Zuhe, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of YUFE took part on behalf of YUFE.

During the visit, Professor Pan, along with other members of the delegation, visited the State Department and the U.S. Department of Education, and had a friendly talk with American senior consultants on education. They also visited Columbia University where the delegation had talks with both the president and the students.

At the itinerant display, Professor Pan spoke to people from all walks of life and introduced the basic conditions, school-running characteristics and advantageous disciplines of YUFE, demonstrating the university s charm. In interviews with the American World Press, he expressed his hope that the display could serve as a platform for enhancing the mutual understanding between Sino-America education circles and promoting educational and cultural exchange between the two countries so as to attract more American students to study at YUFE. The delegation, led by Luo Chongmin, Director of the Yunnan Provincial Education Department, consisted of leaders from provincial key universities, YUFE included.
