Never Alone

Never Alone

Write: Azarni [2011-05-20]

July 5 -If one looks back to the days of explorers such as Christopher Columbus, it can be said that historically, Europeans have a taste for adventure. Aitor Robles Prado, a Spanish man, is no exception. He came to China three years ago with his wife, who had been given work in China. Aitor added that he came to China for a change of pace, looking for a fresh experience in this eastern country. Now Aitor works in Weiss-Rohlig Hong Kong Ltd., and comes to GDUFS to receive his MBA education on the weekends.

In 2009, Aitor became a student in the MBA program in GDUFS. As the only international student in his class, Aitor was grateful to his teachers and classmates for their kindness. The MBA program here is good, and the interactive atmosphere in class is inspiring, Aitor tells us.

Never Alone

However, there is one major obstacle - language. It is indeed difficult to be the only foreigner in class. "My Chinese is not that good, and their (his classmates?) English is not that good, so ...", Aitor joked. Generally speaking, however, he feels at ease in his classes, as his professors and classmates are very considerate.

Having lived in China for three years, and loving to travel, Aitor has explored many different corners of China.Beijing, Shanghai, Xiamen ... just to name a few. And among all these cities, Aitor favors Beijing and Guangzhou best. Living on Guangzhou Ersha Island, a modern area rich in culture, Aitor visits the Guangdong Museum of Art and Xinghai Concert Hall every once in a while.

Never Alone

In two years, Aitor and his wife will return to Spain. They plan to set up their own company, trading with China, since Aitor is optimistic about China's economy and Spain-China business, and his MBA degree in China will also help their business. The other plan of the couple is to establish a company teaching Chinese in Spain by hiring Chinese teachers; it seems that all over the world, there are many people who wish to learn Chinese.

Aitor told us that decades ago, few people in Europe knew about China, but things are different now. With economy developing rapidly, China has become a focus. As a result, there are an increasing number of people who want to do business with China and to learn more about China.

Never Alone

Although Aitor is the only foreigner in his class, he is never alone. Nice classmates and a great environment make it a pleasant experience to not only to study in GDUFS but also to live in China.
