University Presidents Meet Outgoing Japanese Consul General in Guangzhou

On the morning of June 9 2009, University President Professor Zhang Xiangwei and Vice President Professor Zhang Li meet Mr. Yoshida Masaharu, the outgoing Consul General of Japan in Guangzhou, on main campus. President Zhang first expresses his heartfelt thanks to Mr.Yoshida for his continuous support during his term as Japanese Consul General in Guangzhou. He says, the Consul-General has been attaching great importance to the development of the university, introducing Japanese companies and universities to the university for exchange and cooperation in academic domains. He hopes that the Consul General will continue to maintain close contacts with the university and continue to support the university s development.

Mr.Yoshida first expresses his gratitude for the warm reception. He says cooperation with the university is a pleasant one, with Guangdong University of Technology playing a significant role in Sino-Japanese cooperation. He adds that the university will still have his support in the future.
The outgoing Consul General makes his trip to bid a farewell visit to the university shortly before his terms end in July.
