Student of School of Mechanical and Automation Control awarded the 1st prize of Fisher Group of the 4th National College Mechanical Creative Designing Competition

Fisher Group of the 4^th National College Mechanical Creative Designing Competition (2010) rang down the curtain recently. ZSTU students delegation won the 1^st prize.

Sponsored by Teaching Direction Subcommittee of Mechanical Foundation Course, Ministry of Education and the organizing committee of National College Mechanical Creative Designing Competition, the competition focuses on cherish the life and dedicate to the society with the content of design and production of mechanical products for rescue, barrier-breaking, escaping and shelter in sudden disaster . Aiming to cultivate college students abilities of creative and comprehensive designing and engineering practice, the competition allows full play to the teaching reform of mechanical discipline in colleges and the achievements of students mechanical creative designing. It promotes the combination of research, design and production of mechanical products and cultivates talents in this field.

137 works from 58 colleges nationwide run for prizes. After live demos and answering experts questions, 27 works from Beijing Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University, National University of Defense Technology, Jilin University, ZhejiangSci-TechUniversity and other universities stand out and win the 1^st prizes. Award-winning piece of ZSTU demonstrational building of fire automatic rescue is directed by Prof. Zhu Zhichao of School of Mechanical and Automation Control and designed and completed by 5 students, respectively Yang Kai, Ren Weiwei, Zhu Guanyu, Xie Sendong and Shi Zouyun.

National College Mechanical Creative Designing Competition is approved by Higher Education Division of Ministry of Education, sponsored by College Mechanical Science Direction Committee of Ministry of Education and joint undertaken by Teaching Direction Subcommittee of Mechanical Foundation Course, National Education Seminar of Principle of Machinery, National Teaching Seminar of Mechanical Designing and some prestigious universities. As one of the four great competitions of Ministry of Education, it plays an important role in developing the ability of creative thinking and group cooperation among college students. It also serves as a platform to exchange mechanical education among colleges and to present students originality.

In the light of the unique creative education idea of German Fishertechnic model and the wide application foundation among colleges in ten years, National College Mechanical Creative Designing Competition Committee sets up Fisher Group competition.
