2010 Certificate for Professional Studies (CPS) training completed

XJTLU, China 3rd Sep, 2010 2010 Certificate for Professional Studies (CPS) training has begun for all new teaching staff and existing teaching and support staff registered on Liverpool s CPS scheme. CPS is an essential qualification for all academic staff teaching at XJTLU and Liverpool. The training lasts for two weeks, from 23 August to 3 September, and is conducted by Stuart McGugan and Christos Petychakis from the University of Liverpool.

New staff induction and CPS training is a key part of XJTLU s strategy of enhancing the quality of learning and teaching. The staff induction will help staff understand higher education in a Chinese context, the unique features of the University, as well as all support systems adopted by the University.

Throughout the course staff are required to complete assignments and attend workshops to discuss their thoughts and progress.
