University Secretary and President attend Forum for Development

The 4th National Forum on the Development of Universities of Posts and Telecommunications was held from November 11th to 13th, 2009 in Chang an Campus of Xi an University of Posts and Telecommunications. The forum attracted university leaders from all over the country. NUPT sent, on its behalf, to the forum Party Secretary Min Chunfa, President Yang Zhen along with Party Office Director Zhou Nanping and University Development Director Yang Fukang.
The theme of the forum was Leapfrog Development of Universities of Telecommunications in New China--- Integrating Teaching, Academic Research and Industrialization and Nurturing Quality IT Professionals . Universities exchanged thoughts on and plans for their long-term development. NUPT president Yang Zhen introduced the university s exploration in this regard in a speech titled Rely on Industrial Support, Nurture Creative Professions, Deepen University-business Cooperation, and Serve the Local Community .
