On November 20, 2008, Vice-Rectors of the UPC, Prof. Josep Casanovas, Prof. Francesc-Xavier Gil and Prof. Luis Torres visited ZJU.
Vice President ZHU Jun met with the Vice-Rectors and their delegation on Yu Quan campus. The two sides spoke highly of the existing cooperation between UPC and ZJU, and exchange views on how to further expand and deepen both sides cooperation in the joint research and faculty and student exchange. UPC will offer Master and PhD positions to ZJU students in the fields of Architecture, Material Science and Engineering, Remote Sensing, Renewable Energy, etc., and also be planning to send 30 students to ZJU for the short-term study program. Prof. Wang Li, Deputy Director of International Relations Office, also attended the meeting.
During their stay at ZJU, the delegation also visited the Schools of Information Science and Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science and Material Science and Chemical Engineering.
