Snow in Europe causes travel chaos

Air services will remain severely affected across Europe. Severe disruption for passengers is expected across Europe as London Gatwick, Liverpool and Edinburgh Airports closed on Wednesday due to heavy snow conditions. Air traffic into Guernsey Airport has also been affected.

A recent statement from British Airways, as reported in Travel Daily UK, read that Edinburgh and Newcastle airports are also currently closed customers are advised not to go to the airport. Flights from other airports are also experiencing cancellations and disruption.

Geneva Airport was closed because of heavy snowfall, while severe flight delays were reported in southern France, Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna and Prague. Yesterday, half of the Eurostar services between London and Brussels were cancelled.
