Qing Ping Market

Qingping Market came into existence in 1979. It has over 2000 stall over about 1-km. Qingping Lu and Ti Yun Lu are located in the north of Shamian Island. It is the largest street market in Guangzhou with more that 60, 000 people doing their shopping there every day. Just like a take-away zoo,, it possible all types animals, fish, reptiles and other exotic creature alive and dead. The Chinese medicine section is interesting and less disturbing, perhaps as the by-products of endangered species are not so instantly recognizable. Behind Away from the packed food stalls there are also some jade and antique stalls and the antique shops along nearby Daihe Lu that are also worth a visit.
