National work conference on farmers sport associations 2011

On 22 February 2011, the National Work Conference on Farmers Sport Association (FSA) was held in Beijing. Attended at the conference were Chen Yaobang the Consultant of the association, Feng Jianzhong the Deputy General Director of the General Administration of Sport, Chen Mengshan MOA General Economist, the General Director of MOA general office and FSA Vice Chairman

The conference asked FSA sub-associations at all levels to create a new situation in the work of farmers sports in the new period through summarizing their respective experience made during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan period; make a comprehensiveplanning for promoting farmers sport development during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period; and implement the Regulations on Nationwide Body-building to promote farmers participate in sports activities.

It was emphasized that all the associations in this field must do a good job in 2011 through carrying out the following measures: a. prepare work plans in accordance with the Twelfth Five-Year Plan by acting in the sprit of the Fifth Session of the Seventeenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China; b. strengthen coordination between associations to ensure implementation the Regulations; and c. prepare for the Seventh National Farmers Games to promote development of farmers sports in scientific way.

In his work report, Wang Fulai, the Vice Chairman and Deputy Secretary General of the Association made an overall summary of nationwide farmers sports work in 2010, and comprehensive arrangements for this year.

Officials in charge of agriculture, sports and farmers associations at the levels of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities attended the conference.
