UK: Tesco launches online clothing store

Tesco is this week launching its first dedicated online fashion store at www.tesco.com/clothing offering millions more customers' access to great value Tesco and branded clothing.
With less than half the UK population currently able to access a Tesco Extra store - where the full range of clothing is sold - the move is great news for fashion shoppers and an important milestone for Tesco's clothing business.
The website will feature thousands of items available to buy online across women's, men's and kidswear.
All of the well known Tesco clothing brands including F&F and Cherokee will be available, along with online exclusive items from these and other new exclusive Tesco clothing brands like casual wear brand Henry J Finn and urban menswear brand Method.
Other brands stocked on the website will also include hip East London label Liquorish, handbags by actress, turned accessories designer, Mischa Barton and funky fair-trade denim by Monkee Genes.
www.tesco.com/clothing has a distinct look and feel and is easy to navigate with a robust search facility enabling customers to find items quickly. The website also features a ‘get the look’ section where customers can find out how they can emulate the latest catwalk looks. Items available will change regularly enabling customers to keep up to date with the latest looks.
Launching the new website at a specially arranged fashion show in London, CEO of Clothing at Tesco, Terry Green said: "We want to give all Tesco customers, wherever they live in the UK, the ability to purchase clothing from Tesco and the launch of the online store will allow us to do this by making clothes shopping convenient for our customers.
"Whether they are looking for our well known brands such as F&F or one of our exclusive brands we will have something for everyone.
"Clothing is not only one of the fastest growing online markets, but the word ‘clothing’ is also one of the most searched for categories at tesco.com so we know the site will be popular with both existing and new online customers."
