Who we are
Vancouver Fashion Week is a one-of-a-kind event that continuously brings together buyers, press, media, and innovative designers from around the world to celebrate creativity and originality in fashion since the beginning of the millennium.

Influential consumers and industry professionals. This includes journalists, editors, designers, buyers, top executives, diplomats, celebrities and socialites.

Our Vision
Vancouver’s proximity to the East and West fashion capitals make this city the prime location for fashion week. Our vision is to create an avenue where designers, buyers, and media from East to West may connect and propose business. Vancouver Fashion Week will be an ideal event that facilitates trade and exposure for our international guests as well as highlighting Vancouver’s local talent.

Our Focus
Diversity and creativity is at the centre of Fashion Week, featuring eco-friendly designers, street wear, and aboriginal designs. Known as the West Coast’s most prestigious industry event, we thrive on inviting the most creative talent.

Our world-class shows have drawn the attention of countless celebrities and have been featured on CityTV, The Vancouver Sun, Flare, and Sesi Magazine. Clothing and jewelry designers from around the world have debuted their lines at Vancouver Fashion Week, including Calgary, Toronto, New York, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Lebanon. Together with Vancouver Fashion Week, these multicultural designers bring fashion-savvy consumers of all ages, buyers and media together in one place for a week of culturally diverse, high-quality, and affordable clothing. The constant stream of celebrities, socialites and media attention reveals why Vancouver is nicknamed Hollywood North.

Our Past
Now celebrating its ninth year, VFW has established itself as a highly successful and widely recognized event providing a forum to nurture and celebrate the fashion industry. In recent years, VFW has included internationally acclaimed designers such as Versace, Parasuco, Rocawear, Ecko, Anna Sui, Lauren Vidal, and Turnover in addition to emerging designers, such as Cherry Melaney, Frost Sportiva and Helen Lee.

For the last 13 seasons, Vancouver Fashion Week has been:

â—� Seen by 1 million(+) viewers on national television (i.e. Breakfast TV on CTV, Entertainment Tonight Canada, etc.)
â—� Reaching over 1.2 million national readers through print publications (i.e. Vancouver Sun, Asian Post, FLARE magazine, etc.)
VFW will provide you with the most extensive media exposure, both locally and internationally. We are reaching out to more than 800 fashion media outlets globally.
Vancouver PR team duties:
• Secure local and international media sponsorships and coverage
• Create media partnerships and coverage opportunity for designers
• Market to specific regions and ethnic communities throughout Vancouver
• Communicate internationally and create partnerships with international media (i.e.
online magazine Webuomo in Japan and Sina a popular internet portal in China
• Launch online magazine at the end of September which will feature fashion and lifestyle topics.

VFW has secured media sponsors from Los Angeles based Flaunt magazine, Vancouver View magazine, Shaw TV, Asian Post newspaper. VFW will also be featured in Elle Canada as they cover our Top 10 shows.
