Adrian Wu

Hi! and you might be wondering..."who is adrian?" Well thats me. I am 19 year old, self taught dress maker that dropped out of university to pursue my strong and specific passion for fashion. I grew up in burlington ontario and went to a small private school in hamilton. After high school I went to the University of Toronto and after a year, dropped out and made a decision to go into fashion.

I took my mothers old singer sewing machine and starting to teach myself how to make a dress. And with no prior knowledge created my collection for VFW. But there's more to the story...I made my portfolio and took all the pictures myself, and my mother said..."well if your going to go into fashion you should go to the best school there is" and that I did, I went to London England after I finished my portfolio and applied to one of the top fashion schools in the world called "Istituto Marangoni" also offered in Milan and Paris.

And I got in after two weeks--- Then I started to make more dresses and found myself at the point where people actually wanted to buy them. So i started selling them, and before I knew it I had made my own website called www.davisadrian.com and had my first unofficial fashion show for an association in my town.

Months later I get an email from a very kind lady named Rachel Poon who worked PR for VFW inviting me to debut my collection. And here I am now, having my actual first fashion show to broadcast to the world what "adrian." is. I'm adrian, and fashion is a meaningful thing to me. I create clothes that tell a story, because fashion should.
