Dumond’s Summer 2010 collection was created to the sound of Bossa Nova. The musical genre served as an inspiration for the novelties filled with the Brazilian way of being. The city of Rio de Janeiro – where the style was created – with its charm, its shapes and its exuberant nature, was the inspiration of the brand to create models with exclusive shapes and textures.
For the Summer 2010, the highlights are the differentiated heels, specially “Corcovado”, comma-shaped and skived in the back. The brand also launches the screw-shaped heel and the cutout wedge, perfect to give innovative air to sandals and peep toes. High platform shoes with thicker heels, but delicate shapes, share space with another model of platform shoes, with thin and medium heels. The finishing presents leather stacked heel covers, which get different versions for the summer; among them the stylized design of the Copacabana sidewalk.
Another novelty is in the development of exclusive leathers – with textures as crocodile and snake – which receive manual treatment to be with the most possible natural finishing. The color chart presents strong tones with washed touches, as guava and yellow. The metallic tone gains strength with the new material of scratched leather, appearing in models with high heels, but also in delicate flats.
The natural fibers also get sophistication, as the cotton straw with lurex, which appear in shoes that are noted for their comfort. Buckle ornaments in leather imitating stone, wood leaves and drawings with cutouts made by laser give even more charm and femininity to the pieces. The collection, which counts with 100 models of shoes, ballet flats and sandals, also brings 45 handbags for the day-to-day life and parties, as well as wallets and belts.
Dumond is a brand from Brazil and belongs to the high fashion Brazilian footwear group Paqueta. Dumond was established in 1997 and is today one of the major Brazilian fashion brands.
