HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks ended 1.03 percent higher Friday, with gains led by China Unicom after a broker upgrade on optimism for the fourth-quarter profit.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index ended 209.13 points higher to close at 20,608.70. The China Enterprises Index, which tracks the Hong Kong-listed Chinese companies, closed up 1.36 percent at 11, 543.73.
Turnover was HK$54.9 billion ($7.07 billion).
