China's retail sales increased by 17.9 percent in the first quarter over the same period last year, and totaled 3.64 tillion yuan ($533 billion), the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced today.
March retail sales rose 18 percent year on year to 1.13 trillion yuan, the NBS said.
