China's economy grew 11.9 percent year-on-year in the first quarter, up 5.7 percentage points from the same period of last year, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said today.
NBS spokesman Li Xiaochao told a press conference that China's GDP totaled 8.05 trillion yuan ($1.18 trillion) in the first three months.
