TCL Corp, one of China's leading TV makers, saw net profits of 64.58 million yuan in the first quarter this year, up 332.06 percent from the same period last year, the Shanghai Securities News reported Thursday.
The Shenzhen-listed company's sales revenue rose 53.59 percent year-on-year to 11.63 billion yuan in the first three months.
TCL Corp said that the healthy development of the domestic market and the recovery of the overseas market helped bring about the company's sales surge.
The company's overseas sales revenue gained 85.14 percent year-on-year in the first quarter.
TCL's Hong Kong listed arm, TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings Limited, posted net profits of HK$44 million ($5.7 million) in the first quarter, up 69.2 percent from last year. Sales revenue stood at HK$ 6.76 billion.
