Inner Mongolia has vowed to push forward the integration of its coal industry in the next five years and slash its coal enterprises by 50%.
The move echoes the nation's policy of eliminating outmoded production capacity and economic restructuring.
The autonomous region decides to reign in the ever-growing trend of its coal production, and put brakes on small-scale coal processing projects.
By 2015, Inner Mongolia is expected to reduce its number of coal miners from the current 350 to 180, according to its plan.
