Russia's first four months' oil export revenue nearly doubles

MOSCOW, June 8-Thanks to the surging oil prices, from January to April this year, the total income of Russian oil export nearly doubled from 20.96 billion U.S. dollars in the same period last year to 41.05 billion dollars.
Statistics from Russian Federal Customs Service said the export volume of oil in first four months went down 3.6 percent at a year-on-year basis to 77.2 million tons.
Meanwhile, Russian Federal Statistics Service said during the same period the oil output had surged 2.9 percent to reach 165 million tons.
In 2009, Russian oil output totaled 494 million tons, some 226 million of which were exported.
