Sinopec Jiujiang Petrochemical plans to close a fluid catalytic cracker for 15-20-day maintenance end July because of glitch, a source with the refinery told C1, adding its crude throughput for August would drop accordingly.

Jiujiang Petrochemical has two FCCs with annual capacity of 1.1-mil mt and 1-mil mt, respectively, C1's record showed.
It is unknown which one would undergo the maintenance.
C1 reported previously, Jiujiang Petrochemical would start to expand its crude processing capacity to 10-mil mt per year in 2010, expected to be complete in three years.

Jiujiang Petrochemical, located in Central China's Jiangxi Province, has a topping capacity of 6.5-mil mt per year; however, it processed not less than 5-mil mt of crude in 2009.
