p>Refineries affiliated to Sinopec are expected to refine 17-17.2-mil mt of crude oil in August, with daily throughput 3.7% lower than the previous month, C1's survey showed.
Cangzhou Refinery and Yangzi Petrochemical went into overall turnarounds in August, the main reason leading to the drop.
The other refineries would largely run at high rates in the month.
Daily crude consumption of those refineries in North, East and South China would fall 3%, 8% and 0.2%, respectively, while would inch up 0.3% in Central China.
Sinopec's subsidiary refineries would still reap favorable refining margins in August as integrated sales revenues of their products were improving, although international crude oil prices hit US$80/bbl, market sources expected.
