Yingkou port has attracted attention from bunker suppliers as its throughput of foreign cargoes grows fast and it is quite close to Dalian port. This port recorded about 80,000mt of bonded bunker sales volume in 2009.
Most of the bonded bunker fuel supplied in Yingkou port is delivered from bonded tank farms in Dalian port, and the freight is estimated at US$12-13/mt, nearly three times as high as that in Dalian port.
With the participation of SinoBunker, Yingkou port has become the second port in the Bohai Bay with two bonded bunker suppliers-Chimbusco and SinoBunker, after Dalian. SinoBunker started bonded bunker business in Dalian in early July, breaking the monopolization by Chimbusco.
