p>China exported 320,000mt of gasoline in July 2010, sharply down 22% from June while up 6% year-on-year, showed data form the General Administration of Customs.
Gasoline exports shrank on month as PetroChina and Sinopec both retained more gasoline for domestic market in the high season of summer, market sources pointed out. Besides, gasoline exports were deterred by aggravated export loss of Yuan 428/mt due to declines in Singapore gasoline prices in July, reckoned the sources.
The sources predicted China's August gasoline exports would be flat with July as the peak season for gasoline demand continues.
