LPG from Iran were of lower prices than market level, thus gained popularity among Chinese importers, market sources said.
The other Mideast countries, such as UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, were also big LPG suppliers for China.
China imported a combined 297,787mt of LPG from Mideast in July, taking up 85% of the total.
Besides, 2,475mt of Taiwan-origined pressurized LPG arrived in China in July, the GAC data showed.
Taiwan has always been a major pressurized LPG supplier for Mainland China, but the region slashed LPG exports in 2010 due to increasing local demand.
China imported 350,754mt of LPG in July, up 7% on month and up 55% from the same period last year, the data also indicated.
