The export and import trade volume from January to November in China's Tibet Autonomous Region has reached 693 million U.S. dollars. The figure is up 94 percent year on year, which makes Tibet first in trade growth rate among China's provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.

Border trade surged 97.2 percent year on year and manufacturing exports were up 67.9 percent, which contributed to the rocketing growth rate, Padma Choling, chairman of the region, said Saturday at the annual economic work conference.
