"We are not in the position to fulfill all orders," spokesman David Harpole told Dow Jones Newswires. The company is also bringing products to its customers from remote locations, he added.
Harpole said workers at the French refinery aren't on strike but the operation was disrupted by the strike at Fos-Lavera, the world's No. 3 oil port with annual traffic of around 60 million metric tons. The open-ended strike Tuesday entered its 16th day.
That strike and another one against pension reform have caused disruption at several refineries across France, including those operated by the country's largest oil company, Total SA (TOT).
