In a bid to challenge the conventional incandescent bulbs, Remson & Rallison group, has launched High Power Factor CFL Lamps in India, which gives high energy saving and Lumen output, a news release said.

The company has introduced a new range of energy saving CFLs from 5 Watt to 85 Watt having "HPF" >0.85 Integral ballasts, which are more energy efficient and eco-friendly comparison to normal CFLs.

The conventional compact florescent lamps and incandescent bulbs (GLS) consume more real power as compared to HPF CFLs. High power Factor has been made mandatory by the government to increase energy saving in India and also to minimize the energy loss.

The CFL has variant designs of 2U, 3U, 4U, Spiral & PLL that shall cater to entire indoor and outdoor lighting needs with a price range of Rs130 to Rs 650. These energy efficient CFLs save 80% energy as compared to normal lamps, with the life of 5 years with electronic ballast, the company claims.

The product could be as much as 5 times more efficient than standard incandescent bulbs, the news release concluded.
