According to the news released by Sany Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd on March 19 that at the request of Tokyo Electic Power Company (TEP), Sany Heavy Industry will send its 62-meter concrete pump to Fukushima Nuclear Power Station free of charge to support the water spraying operation. In addition, 2 service engineers and 3 to 5 technical advisers will be appointed to Japan for assistance.
At present, only three companies in the world are capable of manufacturing pumps with the boom of above 56 meters, namely Putzmeister Machinery (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., Shanghai Schwing Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd and Sany Heavy Industry. Sany Heavy Industry boasts the 72-meter concrete pump, the longest one in the world.
According to Deputy General Manager of Sany Overseas Yang Zhihua, the pump will be donated to Japan. The single pump is worth over 900,000 USD, and coupled with accessories, which totals 1 million USD in value.
