Jinan Municipal Department of Health Supervision Carried Out Comprehensive Examination to School Sanitation

Recently, to guard against such accidents as food poisoning, communicable disease and drinking water contamination in school after the beginning of a new term,Jinan Municipal Office of Health Supervision carried out comprehensive supervision and examination to school sanitation. The examination involved some aspects including the prevention and treatment of communicable disease, drinking water (tap water and secondary water supply included), student apartments, bathrooms, canteens and classrooms etc.

. The implementation of epidemic report system, morning inspection system, investigation of causes of disease, registration system and disinfection system were examined. Disinfection of tap water, protection of secondary water supply and cleaning and disinfection of storing facilities of water were inspected.

Examination record of food raw material purchasing, use of food additive and disinfection of tableware were examined. The examination to some schools showed that they paid special attention to sanitation work and strengthened the implementation of prevention and treatment of communicable disease, drinking water and food safety.
