Trainings for Beijing Opera Teachers Have Been Officially Started in Huaiyin District

On the afternoon of March 23, trainings for Beijing opera teachers have been officially started in Jinan Yingdong Primary School. Trainings in professional knowledge and skills of Beijing Opera have been performed to music teachers in the district. Since the opening of the pilot project popularizing Beijing opera in schools in middle and primary schools of the city, teachers in Huaiyin district, with the aim of making student know well of Beijing opera, respect the arts, inherit culture and improve art literacy , actively search for the binding point of Beijing opera and teaching.

Through this activity, students in Huaiyin district can learn the national art that has been constantly forming and developing in thousands of years within the schoolyard. Teachers also strive for passing on Beijing opera to their students so as to inherit and develop national spirit. Experts from Beijing Opera Theater of Jinan gave primary training on the roles of Laodan and Qingyi (two female roles in traditional Beijing opera) to teachers.

During the training, teachers are enthusiastic and responsible in the stage pose and footwork and are intoxicated in the atmosphere of Beijing opera. (Jinan Education Bureau)
