2010 the 1st Tour of Poyang Lake International Cycling Race Prelude Game & the 1st Tour of Ganzhou International Cycling Race will be held in Ganzhou on August 31.
The event attracts over 600 domestic and foreign riders from more than 20 countries to apply for participation.
The race will start from Ganzhou Harmony Bell Tower, through Ganzhou Bridge and Ganzhou Ring Highway, etc. to Ganzhou Sports Center. Bicyclists may be integrated into the nature and fully enjoy the scenery of Ganzhou -- "a city surrounded and decorated by water", which reflects a perfect combination of human and nature.
Harmony Bell Tower under construction stands opposite to Ganzhou Bridge -- the No.1 bridge over the thousands-of-miles Gan River.
With the clock face of 12.8 m in diameter, Harmony Bell Tower is the largest mechanical clock piece in the world.
Zhang River and Gong River join in Ganzhou Guijiaowei to converge into the thousands-of-miles Gan River.
Ganzhou Urban Central Park has become the "green lung" of the city and an "ecological paradise".
A livable ecological city with vigor
Connecting the "1-hour urban economic circle", Ganzhou Ring Highway links to Xiamen-Chengdu highway and Daqing-Guangzhou highway to be an important road for transport among Fujian, Jiangxi and Guangdong.
