More than 4.5 million travelers have ridden bullet trains on the Fuzhou-Xiamen railway since operations began on April 26. The railway has become the busiest high-speed railway in China in terms of passenger flow. The route carried 1.1 million persons in June. Local officials are promoting the train as time-saving and environmentally friendly.
