Li Tieying, delegation head and vice chairman of the NPC's Standing Committee, said that the visit aims at promoting the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Li said that he knows a lot about the history of the friendly relationship between China and Cambodia. He also introduced the preparation of the 29th Olympic Games to be held in Beijing in 2008.
Hun Sen extended welcome to the delegation, adding that Cambodia and China are old friends.
The friendly relationship between the two countries was pioneered by the old leaders, and has been inherited up to now, he said.
Hun Sen also expressed appreciation for the support and aids extended by the Chinese government for Cambodia's economic developments and infrastructure construction.
Earlier on Thursday morning, the delegation respectively held talks with Senate President Chea Sim and National Assembly President Heng Samrin.
The Chinese delegation arrived here on Wednesday on a five-day official goodwill visit.
Cambodia is the second leg of the delegation's regional tour which also includes Nepal and Myanmar.
