Sitting Hong Kong leader Donald Tsang Yam-kuen and rival Leong Kah Kit attended a forum on Thursday in Hong Kong, answering questions from members of the election commission and Hong Kong citizens.

A total of 530 members of the Electoral Affairs Commission of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) also attended the forum, presided over by Rita Fan Hsu Lai-tai, head of the Legislative Council of HKSAR.

Tsang and Leong both introduced their election programs in the 90-minute forum, and took questions from 22 members of the election commission and seven Hong Kong citizens selected at random.

The questions covered economic development, education reform, environmental protection, the relationship between HKSAR and the central government, and the HKSAR political system.

Tsang and Leong ended the forum by summing up their platforms.

The election of the third term of HKSAR chief will be held on March 25 by the HKSAR Electoral Affairs Commission in a secret ballot and then relayed to the central government.
