Local officials should be educated to improve their level of social administration and learn to deal with internal conflicts among the people to ensure social harmony, a senior official said on Monday.
He Guoqiang, head of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said in the opening ceremony of a training program for officials that the program should guide the officials in solving problems concerning people's livelihood.
"They should learn to solve practical problems that the people care about most and are directly connected with their interests," He said.
He, also member of Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said a lot of young officials had taken positions in local governments in recent years and they should be trained to build a new image of the new leadership.
He also said the officials should be self-disciplined and abide by all the anti-corruption regulations.
