Typhoon Vipa was moving toward Zhejiang s coastal area with the central maximum wind speed of 12 Grade (35 m/s) at 8 am today and movement speed of about 20 km/h, and will probably land on Zhejiang s coastal area by the morning of the day after tomorrow. The Meteorological Department has issued typhoon information this morning to remind citizens and relevant departments to pay attention. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department is closely monitoring typhoon movement.
It s reported this morning from the Municipal Meteorological Department and Flood Prevention Office that typhoon Vipa would mainly affect Zhejiang s eastern coastal area, and not affect Shaoxing much. During the first half week, affected by typhoon Vipa, Shaoxing will have more rainfall while the temperature will not drop much, but part areas will have comparatively strong wind and rain. Speaking in detail, tomorrow, the wind speed will increase and Shaoxing will have medium to heavy rains, and with the ending of the influence of typhoon Vipa on Thursday, the weather will be fine again.
